Income Tax Department Launches AIS For Taxpayer App
AIS is an efficient application that simplifies the process of gathering and validating information for filing tax returns. It also helps in assessing advance tax requirements and in avoiding misreporting.
The AIS app is available for download in the Google Play and App Store. One can register using their PAN number and authenticate with OTP sent on their registered mobile phone and email address (as per e-filing portal). This is an initiative by the Department to provide enhanced taxpayer services facilitating ease of compliance.
Authentication
The AIS For Taxpayer’ App allows taxpayers to access information from their Annual Information Statement (AIS) and Taxpayer Information Summary (TIS) on mobile devices. The app is a secure and convenient way to view important taxpayer information from the comfort of one’s home or office. The app is free of charge and can be accessed from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store. It requires a valid PAN number and authenticates the user with an OTP sent to the email address or mobile phone registered on the e-filing portal. Once verified, the user can then set a 4-digit PIN to gain access to all of their information.
The new AIS mobile application allows users to easily view information from AIS/TIS on their smartphones, which includes TDS/TCS, interest, dividends, share transactions, tax payments, and Income Tax refunds. In addition, the app can also display other information such as GST data and foreign remittances. The new AIS app is expected to simplify the process of accessing taxpayer information and improve efficiency, accuracy, and compliance.
Unlike traditional paper documents, the AIS mobile app is more convenient and easier to read. It also provides instant feedback, which can help identify errors or issues. This can reduce the time and effort needed to submit tax returns, which can save the government money. Additionally, the AIS app is accessible 24/7, which means that taxpayers can file their returns when it is most convenient for them.
Taxpayers can easily download the AIS mobile application from the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store. The app can be used on any Android or iOS device. Once the app is downloaded, users can log in using their PAN number and password. After logging in, the user can track their activity by viewing the AIS activity history tab. This tab shows all of the activities performed by the AIS system including an activity ID, date, and description. Taxpayers can also download the AIS consolidated feedback file for further reference.
The AIS mobile app is an excellent tool for taxpayers to access their Annual Information Statement (AIS) and Taxpayer information summary (TIS). The AIS mobile app provides a comprehensive view of a taxpayer’s information displayed in Form 26AS. In addition, the AIS mobile app allows taxpayers to provide feedback about their AIS information.
Access to AIS/TIS
The income tax department has recently launched a mobile application that allows taxpayers to access their Annual Information Statement (AIS). Previously, taxpayers had to use the e-filing portal to check their AIS. The new app aims to simplify the process and encourage tax compliance. The AIS app is available for Android and iOS devices. It is designed to be a user-friendly interface that can be used by people of all ages and demographics. It can also be used by those who are unable to use the e-filing portal.
To use the AIS app, users must first register by entering their PAN number and authenticate their identity with an OTP that is sent to their registered phone and email address on the e-filing portal. Once the authentication process is complete, they can set a 4-digit PIN to access the app. Then, they can browse through their AIS data and provide feedback on it.
AIS is an electronic record of a taxpayer’s income and other details that are collected by the tax department. It displays details such as tax deducted or collected at source, interest from saving bank accounts, deposits and fixed deposit, securities and mutual funds transactions, off-market debt transactions, foreign remittances, and more. Taxpayers can reconcile their income declared in their ITR with the data provided in their AIS to avoid any discrepancies in their taxes.
A consolidated list of all feedback received by the tax department from the taxpayer on their AIS data is also displayed in the AIS. This list can be viewed by selecting the AIS tab in the app and choosing the relevant assessment year from the dropdown menu. It will show the processed value, which is based on rules and regulations, and the derived value, which considers taxpayer feedback.
Aside from this, the AIS app also shows the history of feedback submissions and provides a download option for all consolidated feedback files in PDF format. This makes it easier for taxpayers to track their feedback and improve the quality of data. In addition, the AIS app also allows users to download their AIS data for previous years as well as search for specific information heads and their corresponding details.
Filing of e-returns
The AIS/TIS is a new mobile application launched by the Income Tax Department that allows taxpayers to view TDS information and file their ITR. It is available for both Android and iPhone devices. The app also includes several other features that make it a great tool for taxpayers. It can help them save time and money by allowing them to file their returns whenever they want, rather than waiting for business hours or during specific time intervals.
The application is easy to use and provides a comprehensive overview of the taxpayer’s financial transactions. It displays the same information as Form 26AS, but offers additional insights into the taxpayer’s finances. It also allows taxpayers to check the status of their refunds and payments, as well as provides a way for them to share feedback on the data presented by AIS.
Once you’ve downloaded the AIS/TIS app, you can access your information by logging in with your PAN number and password. Once you have logged in, the app will send you an OTP to your registered phone number and email address. Once you’ve verified your identity, you can then set a 4-digit MPIN. The AIS/TIS app is free to download and use, but it does require you to register with your PAN number and authenticate via the OTP sent to your mobile and email address.
In the AIS/TIS app, you will be able to access your consolidated AIS statement, which contains all of the information that has been collected for each individual source. This will be displayed by information category, including TDS/TCS, interest, dividends, stock transactions, and income tax payments. It will also include a summary of the processed and derived values of each category, as well as the total value of your taxable transactions.
The AIS/TIS app also has several other features that will make filing your ITRs easier than ever. For example, you can upload scanned copies of your documents with the AIS/TIS app. You can also download and print the AIS/TIS PDF for your records. You can even provide online feedback on the information presented by AIS/TIS.
Feedback
A new mobile app, AIS for Taxpayer, has been launched by the Income Tax Department. It will facilitate taxpayers to view their information as available in the Annual Information Statement (AIS) and Taxpayer Information Summary (TIS). It also gives them an option to provide feedback. The app is designed with a simple and easy interface that can be used by people of all classes and age groups. It will be available for all smartphone users to use from the next month.
The app is free to download and can be downloaded from Google Play Store or Apple App Store. Once the app is installed, users must register it by entering their PAN number. After registering, the app will send an OTP to their registered phone number and email address. Once the OTP is received, the user must enter it to authenticate their account. They will then be asked to set a 4-digit M-PIN for accessing the app. Once the MPIN is set, they will be able to use the app to check their AIS/TIS for the previous financial year.
Moreover, the new app will give users access to other important information like GST data and foreign remittances. It will eliminate information duplication and make return filing easier. It will also help in detecting anomalies and errors in the data and improve transparency. The AIS for Taxpayer app will also make it easier to file e-returns, as the return filing process is now simpler and quicker.
Besides this, the app will also give taxpayers the ability to provide feedback on the active information displayed in their AIS. They can also download AIS-based information in PDF and JSON formats for future reference and use. The application will also allow taxpayers to interact with the chatbot in the app, get answers for their queries and resolve issues. It will also let them upload and consolidate their feedback in a PDF format, download AIS-based information from multiple sources and file their returns. The AIS for Taxpayer application is the latest effort by the Government to bring digital innovation in the taxation
